TOSHIBA IPedge and CIX Product Phase Out Plan April 1st, 2019

Update of IPedge/CIX phase out plan


This is the important notification on the update of the IPedge/CIX phase out regarding the system


As announced previously, Mitel is in the process of phasing out the heritage Toshiba portfolio. While the phase out plan continues, there are a few important updates to highlight:

  • Taske      product will be discontinued on August 31, 2019. After that date, you can      directly purchase the license from Taske, who will provide technical      support as well.
  • Price      updates are coming into effect April 15, 2019 (Canada) and April 29,      2019 (US).
  • Unused      system licenses will be purged after April 30, 2019.

Taske product

 Taske Contact/Reporter/Essential product will be discontinued on August 31, 2019. Mitel will not be able to sell, activate, or transfer the license beyond that date. Please contact Taske for any additional license purchase and technical support after August 31, 2019 using the following URL or calling 1-877-778-2753. 

System license parts

 As new system sales ended on October 31, 2018 as planned, Mitel will stop generating the system license on April 30, 2019. PARTNERS MUST CONSUME ALL THE SYSTEM LICENSE PARTS WHICH HAVE BEEN PURCHASED BUT NOT USED BY APRIL 30, 2019. There will be no grace period. 

Available parts

 Most of digital phones for US have been already discontinued. Please use DP5022-SDM with LIC-1-DP5022SDM for CIX100 or above until the supply lasts. In addition, all IPTs can be used for all CIX models with the appropriate cards. Please note phones sold for the US and Canada are not interchangeable, and they do not boot when connected to a CIX with a different region. Please check the part number printed on the back of the phone as Canada phones have “C” in the middle (ex. DP5022C-SD) while US phones do not (ex. DP5022-SD). Likewise, CPU and some other cards are region dependent and not interchangeable. Cards for Canada have “R” at the end (ex. GCTU2R) while US cards use “A” (ex. GCTU2A). Add on license parts for IPedge and CIX continue to be available until October 31, 2019.
